Description
You're looking for a lean SCL function block that monitors traffic or motion signals as well as manual commands and controls camera triggering for a configurable time. Integrated emergency stop logic and status display, ready for use in the Siemens TIA Portal.

Note: All modules are designed exclusively as a learning and optimization basis and are not approved for live operation. System modules, in particular, must be finally tested and commissioned by qualified personnel before productive use.

How it works

  1. Emergency stop test: When activated, all camera triggers are immediately aborted, status LED off, alarm flag set
  2. Trigger generation: OR link between sensor signal, motion detection and manual start button
  3. Edge detection: Each positive edge generates a pulse-like trigger cycle
  4. Trigger duration: TP timer activates the camera trigger signal for exactly three seconds
  5. Reset: After Timer-Q expires, the camera trigger and status LED automatically fall to FALSE

Technical details
• Safety query with highest priority interrupts all outputs immediately
• Set-Reset flag combines the three input signals to the trigger signal
• Edge detector (“rtr_Trigger”) delivers a single TRUE pulse per positive edge
• TP_Camera timer guarantees exact three-second triggering
• Output variables CameraTrigger and StatusLED directly follow the Timer-Q
• No external memory or complex state machines, minimal maintenance effort
