Description
This SCL function module FB_Foerderband_Eiertransport controls a conveyor belt in interval operation for the gentle transport of eggs.

Note: All modules are designed exclusively as a learning and optimization basis and are not approved for live operation. System modules, in particular, must be finally tested and commissioned by qualified personnel before productive use.

How it works

  1. Emergency stop or sensor jam = TRUE → Conveyor belt off, alarm on, HMI “STOP / JAM DETECTED”, RETURN
  2. Automatic = TRUE →
    • Timer interval (PT = #Interval) expired → conveyor belt on, start timer runtime
    • Timer runtime (PT = #runtime) expired → conveyor belt off, restart timer interval
  3. Automatic = FALSE & ManuStart = TRUE → conveyor belt on; ManuStart = FALSE → conveyor belt off
  4. Egg sensor edge detection: SensorEgg rises from FALSE to TRUE & Conveyor belt = TRUE → EggCounter++

Technical details
• Inputs: Emergency Stop, Sensor Jam, Automatic, Manual Start, Sensor Egg, #Interval (TIME), #Running Time (TIME)
• Outputs: Conveyor belt (BOOL), Alarm (BOOL), StatusText (STRING)
• TimerInterval & TimerRuntime (TON) control interval and running phases
• Edge detector by comparing SensorEi vs. SensorEi_Alt
• RETURN under safety conditions immediately stops all actions

Possible applications
• Gentle egg sorting and transport in laying farms or packaging lines
• Conveyor technology demos and PLC training with interval operation and counting function
• Retrofit of existing systems for retrofitting interval conveying and piece counting

compatibility
Siemens S7-1200 & S7-1500, TIA Portal V13 and higher (V16+ recommended for PLCSIM & HMI)

Scope of delivery
.scl file with declarations of all inputs/outputs, timer instances, edge detection, state logic, and header comments. Download link available immediately after purchase.

Support
Adjustment of the interval duration, integration of additional traffic jam sensors, extension of the counting logic or HMI layouts on request via shop message or email.
