Phase monitor

Description
The FB_Phasenwaechter function block monitors three phases and detects the failure of individual conductors. The status is reported back via realistically simulated contacts (NC contacts 13–14 / NO contacts 21–22): As long as all three phases are present, the NC contact is activated; if at least one phase fails, the NO contact switches. Inputs serve as enable signals, so that the output is only generated when the input is set. The block supports reset and deactivation.
Note: This logic is intended as a template. Before productive use, it must be integrated, tested, and approved by qualified personnel. Incorrect integration may result in incorrect display or undesirable switching behavior.
How it works
Reset
With #Reset
the internal failure indicator #fail
is reset so that the module again assumes a full three-phase state.
Disabled
If #Enable
is not set, both contacts are deactivated. The block does not report an error; the status indicates a neutral state.
Phase failure test
The block checks whether all three phases ( #PhaseA
, #PhaseB
, #PhaseC
) are present. If one or more are missing, #fail
is set.
Contact logic
The outputs only react if the corresponding inputs are enabled:
-
#NO_13_14
(normally closed) is active if#Input_13
is set and no phase is missing. -
#NC_21_22
(normally open) is active if#Input_21
is set and at least one phase has failed.
